We all know that the black cord stops the taint, and grant immortality by connecting the vessel of attachment to the Dark One, but is it possible it does more? Maybe it grants the use of the True Power....

I think that one of the reasons for the cords was to grant immortality, and so in a sense is what allows the DO to ressurect his forsaken. I think that those forsaken with their cords cut can't be brought back....
