We all know that the black cord stops the taint, and grant immortality by connecting the vessel of attachment to the Dark One, but is it possible it does more? Maybe it grants the use of the True Power.

1998-07-24 Are we sure that the cord itself stops the taint? If the cord is immortality then those forsaken who turned before the taint had the black cord so there isn't a direct correlation between the taint and the cord?
