In WH, Lews Therin tells Rand, "We are not builders, not you, or I, or the other one." The "other one" he mentions must be Mazrim Taim, and it is just a foreshadowing of how the the Black Tower will actually be split physically. This is how Taim will lose any support he has, because he can't build his little anti-Rand coalition.

Taim's special students are, in fact, new Dreadlords, and will use gateways to allow armies of trollocs and myrdraal and other shadowspawn to invade the heart of Randland. It is during this initial invasion that the Black Tower will be rent in fire and blood. And the Aes Sedai will "walk the grounds" to assist the Asha'man.

Perrin will reform Manetheren, even though he may not realize it. Somehow, something will occur to give Perrin control over all of Manetheren's old territory, and Faile will push him to become King of Manetheren. Also, it will make an excellent buffer state between the Seanchan-controlled lands, and the rest of Randland. I don't think the Seanchan can be removed now from the areas they hold.
