I believe that Moraine must be alive, and that Thom must save her for fairly simple reasons. Moraine and Nynaeve (maybe Egwene... can't remember, sorry but it has been a while) were in the Aiel waste and they got into an arguement. Moraine responded something to the effect of, I know who I will marry better than you. Well, Thom has that note that RJ won't let us read from Moraine and... well. It obviously has something to do with Moraine's return or RJ, as a writer, would have no reason to hide it... I think they are destined for each other... what a weird pair. Thom and Moraine.

His hand stays firmly attached to his body. He gets BLINDED! The bloody hand Min saw belongs to the DO. The world hates the Dragon and Rand wanders to Caemlyn, (the bond is broken)and becomes the Court-Bard with tutoring from Thom, and uses the bloody hand to do things since he can't see to channel and these is proof of that. The Red visiting Salidar told Nynave that you can't channel with your eyes closed.
