Gaidal Cain: There is some good points to support the fact that Olver is Gaildal Cain, but I have a more interesting theory. Lets say for a moment that Mat just happens to be Gaidal reborn. How? Well, there are two theories to this. One As mentioned before, time in World of Dreams is different to normal, therefore it maybe possible that it is was Mat who Gaildal was born into and that's why he first had memories of war and the past. Two When Mat entered the ter'angreal gateway, this is when he received all of his memories. Could there be a possibilty that this was the point Gaildal actually got put out into the real world, that somehow he and Mat are connected. This would perhaps explain why Mat can speak the old tounge and why he and Birgitte get along so well. The other reason for Birgittes closeness may only be to the fact that he blew the horn, buts it's worth some thought.
