Whatever is going on in the white tower, remember that the black ajah is still there, and very high in power. I think they are responsible for most (if not all) the division in the tower. Another thought, I believe that many of the black ajah are hiding in the red. It would be the perfect choice for someone who wanted to destroy the dragon reborn, run around gentling men that can channel. Of course, this doesn't hold true for aes sedai that are turned to the shadow after they are raised to the shawl.....(added on later)I was reading Fires of Heaven and came across something that may support my theory that red ajah may contain a high amount of black aes sedai. Of the 13 that fled the tower they are usually refered to as having been of one ajah before turning to the black. But Liandrin, the only red sister to flee, sought out the black ajah as soon as she found she could channel, before she even went to the tower. Interesting.

1998-09-01 About the Black Ajah being most among the red...I would concur, first of all they don't have warders. Second, the red ajah is the largest of all of the Ajahs, therefore naturally there you would have a higher percentage. Third, their cause comes close to fitting in the DO's plan. The DO has been able to null the ability to channel quite effectively by the red ajah killing off the male channelers. The Aes Sedai of this age are weak and unskilled. Anyway, just some thoughts.
