How many have noticed at the end of the story, how Moiraine makes a guess about the deaths? The DF's had been killing: any man who could CHANNEL, any man who was exceptionally LUCKY, and at least one BLACKSMITH - that I remember. Now, where do we hear these descriptions? Of course, Rand can channel, Perrin is a blacksmith ('s apprentice), and Mat is exceptionally lucky. The way I see it, Moir knew the age of the Dragon, but didn't know anything else. The BA seem to have known the attributes of the Dragon's companions, but were looking at the wrong ages. (i.e. They tried to kill Lan because he was lucky) It was only as the boys were turning about fourteen or fifteen that people started to find them. Just letting you know my thoughts.
