When the Finns told Rand that if he would live, first he must die, he decided later that they meant that one day Lews Therin would take over and he would die. This could happen but I think that there are a few more possibilities one that LT could be the one that dies or that when LT did take over the madness could transfer from LT to Rand and that LT would be sane. I think this would be a twist that RJ would love.
