I do not have all of the timelines nailed down, but I believe that this is a plausable theory. First, you have to agree to the idea that time is completely different between the real world and Bridgette's world. She may be spun out into the pattern every 1500 years, the concept of relating her sense of time in the world of Dreams to actual time is impossible. I do not think that it is a valid argument. So... I believe that Gaidal cain was torn from the wheel and spun out into mat. I know that mat's "transformation" into a different person began before Rhiudan, but that had to do with the blood of manethren, shadar logoth, and being tavern. The wheel pulled gaidal cain into mat when he entered the door in rhiudan. This is all part of the pattern.
