WH 494: Verin: "Was it wise to let Alanna go? Cadsuane "I could hardly stop her without letting the boy know more than he should, now could I."
What this implies, to me anyway, is that A (who has just been sent to treat with the rebels in tear) is going to affect or interfear with one of CS's plans. The only stop that A is going to make before going to Haddon Mirk is to pick up the other 4 AS.
WH 499 Elaynes pov: Armies did not move in winter, at least, not unless they had the benefit of Traveling, ..."
If we assume (troubling at best) that Master Norry would be able to recognize the andoran regulars of the Aringill Garrison then the 20k men that are approaching must have bypassed Aringill somehow.
My theory is that CS, with her new spiffy trick of Traveling, has somehow convinced the Tairen rebels to let her move them with gateways to a position to besiege caimlyn. why? RAFO. One obvious objection is that the Tairens dislike the OP, but if you ask Julian (as thom did on page watever) that's because most have never even encountered it.
Remember, this chapter (26) is happening the night before the end of POD, so the only army that is not accounted for (recently)(that we've heard about before) is those durn Tairen folk.
Further, I think they let Alanna go even though she won't be able to find the rebels because they didn't want rand asking "why can't she go? what don't you want me to find out?"
I know it's a tenuous string of assumptions but RJ has expected us to make more out of less (just ask Asmodean).

2000-11-20 Except, isn't Tear under seige, so wouldn't they stay to defend that area? Do you think it may be an Aiel army? Although, you could be right, it would be something good when most of what has been happening has been chaotic.
