I have checked with the list of Forsaken. There were 8 male and 5 female of them. That disproportion is ridiculous. Is DOchauvinist?
The idea that killing Chosen Rand breaks the seals is attractive because it is paradoxical. I like that sort of things. There is a proverb known to the players of go (Japanese game that looks very much the game of stones Thom is indisputable champion of) that say that if your opponent wants something very bad give it to him. That is the way to win. Then there will be a bitter irony in "the strongest will survive". Suppose DO cannot kill Keepers. (He did not kill Moghedien, she remains Chosen though trapped, with whom can she be replaced?) Suppose they cannot be killed with anything but balefire which tears them from the pattern. Otherwise they are reborn by the Wheel like LTT. And there are reasons to believe that others are reborn as well. Suppose they made the seals and then DO seduced them, men with the possibility of not going nuts, for example. All but one. That one should either be seduced or killed. But killing all the rest first. And contributing to chaos. But it is not really true because Chosen would have known.

1998-06-30 Not that is an idea I had not heard...although there are still a lot of live Forsaken and few unbroken seals left, intriguing.
