I think that Asmodean could have only beeb killed by Shaidar Haran. Having made going to Shayol Ghul when he was released for his prison, he would have meet Shaidar Haran. Since Rand or Aviendha would have felt one of the Forsaken channeling a gateway to leave.

1998-10-14 Although he would make an excellent subject, RJ has stated that we have met the character that killed Asmodean sometime before he was killed...so it can't be Shaidar Haran.
