Not Who But Why

Who killed Asmodean? I do not know who exactly killed him , but I think some fairly pointed conclusions can be drawn from the timing of it if nothing else . I think that we can be fairly sure as to why he was killed . We need only look at who arrived on the scene virtually the moment after his death . Mazrim Taim . I am almost certain that MT is Demandred . And Asmodean would be the most likely source of discovery for him . He would know all of his mannerisms and possibly even recognise his weaving "fingerprint" . As would Lews Therin . This could explain his animosity toward Taim . My major conclusion therefore would be that Demandred or someone in colusion with him had Asmodean killed . The only clues we have as to the killer being Asmodean knew them instantly and was surprised to see them (alive?) . This in my opinion narrows the choice to three Osangar(Aginor) , Arangar(Bathelemael) whom could have been projected into his dreams akin to Mogehedian though this would be too obvious if RJ's books are anything to go by , I doubt he would use the obvious chance at symetry . My personal choice is Lanfear . Whom I believe is already free of the Finnland . And looking to restore her influence over Rand in the form of Cadsuane (a bit of a stretch I agree) but I see the relationship between Demandred and Lanfear being perhaps an even more complex one than that between Rand and Lanfear . I think the Envious maybe trying to get back at the Dragon by "stealing" his former lover.

I will admit that it seems convenient for MT to show up so soon after Asmodean's death, as though it were a cover up. I hope we get some more clues in two weeks so we can put to rest the Taim/Demandred thing.
