i think wadi has the fortelling. he was the first that i noticed with the theory that the ashaman would have to be bonded by an aes sedai. this was what cadsuane was going to teach them. i think that there is excellent support for this in path of daggers, with the most substantial being min's viewing that one of the aes sedai would bond an ashaman. this may also be supported by the idea that an aes sedai receives some protection from the dark one and his creations by her use of saidar. this is transferred to warders through the bond so it makes sense that it may be transfered through a bond to an ashaman and give him some protection against the taint in saidin. this would be quite unpleasant for the ashaman because they are not very fond of anything to do with an aes sedai. however depending on what the exact nature of logain's actions to toriene(?) it may be the other way around. personally though i think rand is already mad or at least stupid. not only did he nearly kill everyone with callandor but he was so full of himself that he didn't even wait for all of his people to return before he decided to destroy everything in front of him. so is cadsuane telling the truth about callandor being flawed or is she just trying to get under rand's skin some more?

1999-03-16 Your second idea or question about the sword will have to be handled in another theory itself. But I wanted to point out something about the possible effects of the bond. If it is possible that the bond provides protection isn't it also then possible that the taint from the asha'man could 'leak' over the bond to the aes sedai? What is the excellent support that suggests they would have to be bonded by an Aes Sedai?
