I hope that the prologue dispelled everyone's doubts about whether or not Verin could lie - she skirted around the truth like all get out but never lied. Anyone that careful to tell the truth probably can't lie. In addition, I noticed a lot of comments on Verin and "the ring." First, she never says that she only used the ring once. She says I used the ring, once. Hey I read the series, once. (And two, three, four, I don't remember how many times.) In addition, there have been comments that she must have access to the areas where the ter'angreal are kept because she got the ring. Not so, she specifically thinks that Corianin (sp?) managed to erase its existence from the books - it wasn't kept with the others. (It was probably with her notes?).
