In TGH, right before 'five rode forth' into Falme. Verin implied to Rand that the damane could sense him channeling. We, of course know that this is not true, that a woman cannot sense a man channeling. Verin is at least one hundred years old. She must know that this isn't possible. Did she tell Rand this out of ignorance, because she thought that he couldn't control the power, or because she wanted him to be vulnerable?
