This is not my theory yet it makes scence. Rahvin was suppose to lure Rand to Caemlyn, and then he was to be traped by a circle of Forsaken. this was to happen but something when wrong, Lanfear died so she could not even out the Circle, 2 mmale 2female,(because the nuber of male channlers can not exceed the numbers of female. So when this happened if there was to be a circle one male forsaken would of been left out of the loop, and less pewerfull then the Circle, and if that was to happen, the one left out would of attacked the circle in self defence(for the Circle members would of undoubtably tried to get one step closer to Nei"blis by trimming the competetion. So no circle was formed to trap Rand. If you remember when Nyeve was in T A R to help Rand she came across a male and a female servent,IN TEL'ARAN'ROID. strange, no? the theory purposed that the couple in T A R is the pair that was to form the circle with lanFearaid, yet they did not complete the circle. Now! witch male/female duo emerged TCOS? Sammael and Grandael. The theory purposed that one or the other, or both stayed behind to gather info, and they could be undectected because they have the knowlage to hide the ability to channle, and then killed Asmodean for a tratior. Once again this is not my theory, yet I fleshed it out, and it made sense to me.

1998-08-07 I agree that the two servants in the Palace were Sammael and Grandael. However, I don't think either one of them killed Asmodean. A man channeling would have taken Rand on another one of his two hour hikes, and I doubt that the True Power was used. Remember, only Moridin and Ishy have been stupid enough to use the the True Power in excess (see my theory about the fazing effect in the True Power section) [now defunct link] . Everybody also says that saidar would have brought the house down. This isn't necessarily true. Aviendha isn't too curious, because she knows lots of Wise Ones that can channel and is probably wise enough to stay away fromthem as often as she can excluding her training. The same is true forRand. Things have settled down in Caemlyn enough for Rand to bringWise Ones or more Aiel troops over, and a female channeling could easilybe Aviendha to him, because he cannot disdinguish femalechanneling, only feel it in a general sense. So, in all likelyhood, it was a femalechanneler (probably a Forsaken), and maybe even a Wise One."

1999-03-14 Well, one more connection there, we have seen Sammael and Graendal play dress up before with the Aiel...I have heard this theory before, but how did they kill him? Channeling would bring down the house, especially if Rand or Aviendha caught wiff of it...just wondering.
