Of course moiraine's not dead. She is stuck in FinnLand, granted, but i think the bond thingy is due to whatever that guy said about star trek. I think that Perrin will eventually follow Lan's brother into the tower, and maybe pick the lock to her handcuffs while he is there. And If everyone thinks Matt might be Hawkwing, why couldn't Perrin be? I think all three are heroes reborn, to tell you the truth.
