Lanfear, who as Mierin Eronaile worked at the Collam Daam in the Sharom above it was thought to be the most powerful in saidar next to Ishamael in saidin. The first explosion tore through the Sharom - then the second as the Dark One reached out destroyed it. She noticed in Rhuidean the sangreals at her feet as did Asmodean and Rand, who took them and hid them. All with Lanfear's knowing. She didn't think they were any threat since she hadn't know that Lews Therin was in Rand's mind as yet. She knew Lews Therin was present and after three thousand years she still wanted the power he could bring her. Rand took them, hid them and as knowledge supplanted ignorance came upon an idea of taking the Dark One's taint from saidin. By then Lanfear had battled Moiraine Sedai - and with an apparent "foretelling" knew with a bracelet she had to get Lanfear into a doorway from Rhuidean. Having done this they went into the realm of Aelfinn and Eelfinn which we first find Cyndane out from their grasp. Whether this is good or bad news for Moiraine is yet to be seen. But since Rand - like Lews Therin Telemon spurned Lanfear, she declared she'd kill him while using the 1 foot male and female statues to force the power through the large statues in Tremalking and outside of Caiherein. Like many of the evil doers on behalf of the Dark One they were told to go to the mountain outside of Shadar Logoth where this power was fully in use. Cyndane met up with a woman who was "more powerful than she even before she was Cyndane" - as Lanfear. Was this possible? Alivia, suffering an apparent broken and seared arm, had defeated her and she withdrew as she contemplated killing Rand al'Thor while using the statues to remove the taint of the Dark Lord from saidin. Lanfear, wanting power above all else, Moridin holding her life in his hands, we'll find has left.
