Ok, now I may be going out on a limb here, but..... I just read the teaser for PoD, and it gave me an idea, Perrin is married to Faile, and Faile is the cousin of the Queen, in the teaser the narrator or whoever, says that there is no doubt that Tenobia will die a maid leaving her uncle as the king, OR HIS HEIR! as I recall, Faile ran off to become a hunter for the horn because she was sick of learning how to be her father heir. SO, my theory is this, Tenobia is going to die, Bashere will not want the throne because he is still too interested in being a general (he could die, but I like him and don't want to think about that) , and Faile will have to become Queen. With Faile as Queen of Saldea, Perrin can bring all of the borderlands into alliance with Rand. Ta-Da, a very neat theory, but.... another question is what did Verin mean when she said that Perrin didn't understand what marring Zarine Bashere meant. Was it that she knew that Faile was going to be Queen? Is it perhaps part of her 70 odd years old plan??? You tell me.
