I might be shooting in the dark here, but what if the True Power is actually a manifestation of saidin and saidar, working together in an elaborate pattern? The probable reason why only saidin was tainted and not saidar is because, they are two different types, being that saidin requires brute force to do something with it and saidar requiring whatever, and the dark one not being able to perform both at the same time when he tainted the male half... ???Anything to add ? Not being able to sense when someone is channeling, could mean that s/he is probably using the other, and furthermore who says that the dark one is male or female, only that DO uses the male form more?
