Is everyone ready for a long involved theory concerning the Last Battle? Well here goes. Once the Seals break Saidin will be cleansed, the seals are acting as a sort of conduit from the Dark One to Saidin. This is a good thing, Saidin being cleansed however the Balance to this is that the DO will be able to touch the world as he did at the end of the last age. This will cause chaos, war, famine, pestilance you know our old friends the four horseman to ride accross the land. This is bad. In the World of the Wheel it is stated that the War of Power was essentially started by an attempt to free the DO. I don't think the DO wants to be free. Think about it, he had 13 of the most powerful channelers in the Age of Legends and they couldn't free him? Give me a break. See the DO is secured outside the pattern if he is freed into the world, then he is woven into the pattern he can be destroyed. Now no one in Randland has figured this out yet. Except maybe Fel. Instead of being freed the DO would rather use a human surrogate to sow diorder and choas in the world "Let the Lord of Choas Rule" see Rand is causing great upheavel so he is unbeknowst to himself serving the DO. Now that that intro is out of the way, onto the last battle. We know that the seals have to be broken before the last battle, we also know from Egwenes dreams that Rand is going to do it, or is by sowing disorder. I believe that the last battle will have Rand completly freeing the DO from his prison which will force the Pattern to weave the DO into itself, thus allowing Rand to destroy the DO from the Pattern now I don't know details, maybe Rand will die, maybe he won't, maybe it will appear he doesn't but he will utterly destroy the DO. Now this going to leave a huge void. I picture the universe as this, The Creator on one side of this infinatly large piece of fabric, which is the pattern of worlds, with the DO on the other side. Niether being able to affect the pattern except thru human surrogates, as Ishy toted in tEotW prolouge. Now this void has to be filled. Well I think that it will be filled by the evilist most vile character we have been introduced to. Padan Fain. I'll let that sink in. Padan Fain was touched by the DO, he reformed Fain's soul. Then he came afoul of Mordeth and Mashadar in Shadar Logath, then while in the Ways he was touched by Machin Shin. he is made up of the three biggest evils of the world (balances our heroes). He can see DF, which will be his minions, and he is getting weird powers as Tarmon Gaidon approaches. I might be way off but hey, whatever, if anyone actually reads this please give me some fead back. Peace favor your swords.
