"The first time is for what was. The second time is for what is. The third time is for what will be."

Okay, first let me say that some of the theories I read were SUBERB! The one about Dashiva being Osan'gar was masterful! This isn't so much a theory as an observation which I haven't seen written out, but I figured needed to be said. I think we've all noticed that when Egwene stepped thru the arches to become Accepted, there was a bit of prophecy involved. "The first time is for what was." Egwene left Rand and her daughter behind - in other words, she chose to be Aes Sedai rather than marry Rand and share his life. "The second time is for what is." Egwene has a choice to kill Rand - she doesn't (she doesn't betray that he can channel, is how I read it). "The third time is for what will be." Egwene and Elaida at odds for the Amyrlin Seat. Beldeine as Egwene's Keeper (interesting to note, that as of PoD, Sheriam seems to not be so trustworthy as she once was - time for a new Keeper). Egwene, in the rings, feels that Elaida is Black Ajah - she's not, but she IS controlled by them. Egwene never took the three oaths, and now we find out that she doesn't intend to (PoD). Egwene mentions a war inside the Tower (foreshadowing the war going on right now). Anyway, just needed to get that out of my system, hehe.

The interesting part is that all of those happened in what would be the future for Egwene. The third one makes me wonder if Elaida will only be reprimanded(when the war between the Towers occurs) and placed back in charge of the Red for leading the charge to purge the Black Ajah of the Tower which would keep the Elaida/Egwene confrontation going. It would be interesting to find out what happened to Elayne during her testing. Have you ever considered the connection between the Portal Stone experience that Rand and the rest had on the way to Toman Head, the testing ter'angreal, and the mirror worlds?
