Rand has fulfilled the prophecy " cutting of hope and wounds of madness he heals"(mentioned in the dragon reborn at the beginning somewhere)cutting of hope is the wound he recieved in TGH and the wound of madness is the wound he got from padan in the 7th book. flinn says that the two wounds were "fighting" each other and that they might kill each other , or heal each other,.... they might also kill rand.

<br>That would be a different interpretation of this prophecy than I have heard, the wounds of madness has always been assumed to mean the taint...although no one knows for sure, interesting idea.
