Ok, I think that the Reason that men were stronger in the One Power in the Age of Legends is because of the way it is touched. For example, women surrender, an analogy would be like a water hose spraying against a wall, that the woman can tilt to control the spray of the water, men fought it, an analogy would be like Two streams shooting out of two water hoses directly at each other, so the spray of water has more force in the second instance. I don't know how much sense that made, but I hope you get the idea.
