Beldeine Nyram, of the Green Ajah (however, she has no Warders at present) is one of the Tower Aes Sedai captured by Rand and a prisoner of the Aiel. She is also one of the Aes Seda on which Verin does her little 'Compulsion'trick.(PoD, pg 37-40) In TDR, in Egwene's Testing for the Accepted, when she stepps through the rings for the third time, for what will be, she is Amyrlin, and her keeper is one Beldeine of the Green Ajah. Egwene describes her as 'a woman with Sheriam's high cheekbones, but dark hair and concerned brown eyes'.(pg 256) Egwene also admits to Beldeine that she has never held the Oath Rod. Coincedence? Maybe Beldeine, who looks a little like Sheriam, (she is descrbed by Verin in PoD as with 'high cheekbones, but not very high, a nose with just a hint of a hook to it and the slightest tilt to the brown eyes' pg 31 PoD) will replace Sheriam, who's been a bit mysterious lately (PoD whe she enters her tent and is 'hurt' by an unknown. pg 345) Maybe Sheriam has loyalties elsewhere, or perhaps she was turned against her will to the Shadow (she described how that was possible to Egwene in TDR) Also, the bit about Egwene being Amyrlin without holding the Oath Rod is consistent, and she did mention that she wanted to free Aes Sedai from taking the Three Oaths. In the parallel world, Egwene was being usurped by Elaida, in the real world, Egwene is attempting to usurp Elaida.

Thanks for all of the references. I think the most important connection you have made in your theory is the one about the compulsion. Verin appears to be slowly attaching herself to Rand through Alanna and to Egwene through Beldeine(which has yet to occur, but I think it has been foreshadowed well.) You can almost say that she has attached herself to Perrin in the time they were together...what about Mat?
