Logains Glory

Logains Glory There have been many theories predicting the glory that Min viewed Logain still has yet to come. I believe his glory to come is his victory over Mazrim Taim and his ascension to become the M'Hael of the Black Tower . . . and also King of Ghealdan. While this isn't exactly a ground breaking theory I believe it holds weight over other theories. Let's start with Viewings/Dreams we have concerning Logain. “But she had never before seen a flaring halo around his head, radiant in gold and blue.” “So why had he worn a halo that shouted of glory and power to come?” The Shadow Rising, Chapter 17, Deceptions – Min POV “Logain, laughing, stepped across something on the ground and mounted a black stone; when she looked down, she thought it was Rand's body he had stepped over, lid out on a funeral bier with his hands crossed at his breast, but when she touched his face, it broke apart like a paper puppet.” A Crown of Swords, Chapter 10, Unseen Eyes – Egwenes Dream “For an instant, to Min's eyes, a halo flared around his head, a radiant crown of gold and blue.” The Fires of Heaven, Chapter 1, Fanning the Sparks – Min POV There are of course other references to Logain's glory to come but those quoted above are enough for my wild fancies. It is only Egwenes Dream that deals with the initial part of my theory, in that I believe this predicts his victory over Taim at the Black Tower, where Taim will pose as Rand using The Mirror of Mists to lead an attack on the 'traitors' whom are loyal to Logain. This would explain Logain stepping over Rand's body but the face only breaking apart like paper. The mounting of the stone could symbolically be the Black Tower or even the physical speaking stone where Black Tower speeches are made from. It certainly seems Logain and Taim are heading for a confrontation in light of recent events in the ToM. Though Taim has a majority of completely loyal (or forced to the Shadow as we now think) Asha'man and Logain has some Soldiers and Dedicated loyal to him I would say most of the Tower is a grey area when it comes to there loyalty. What better way for Taim to gain control of the undecided than for him to appear as the Dragon Reborn and lead an assault against Logains faction? If the initial part of my theory is thin on evidence, the second part is much thinner, as you will see. If becoming the new M'Hael is not enough power and glory I think there is a possibility he will either become King of Gheldan or at least Consort to Alliandre. The only practical evidence I have on this is Min's viewing, especially the second I quoted above. As we know, Logains sigil is three gold crowns on a blue background. The second quote even mentions “a radiant crown of gold and blue”. What better way for the current queen to consolidate her rule after the Last Battle (and perhaps the demise of Perrin and his protection, but that's another thread) than to marry the new M'Hael and a Lord, however minor, of Ghealdan? I realise much of this theory is speculative, but it seems rather neat to me. I will leave it to you Theoryland addicts to create holes in it, which I'm confident you will.
