I think Taim may just turn to the Shadow, like Demadred and Sammnael did. Darkfriends always talking about at the time of the DO's return new dreadlords will be raised up. In Taim's absence Rand will turn to the only other experienced male channeler, Logain. Logain will begin to undo Taim's work in the Black Tower, and begin to make the Asha'man resemble the Aes Sedai more, rather than Taim's mindless killers.
