Ok, I just got done reading, The Shadow Rising, and I noticed that it said that the Aelfinn seemed to be reading the air above Mat's head before answering his question, or something like that. My theory is that Min sees the same things that the Aelfinn can, but she cannot decipher the meaning like they.
i know i've seen this before, but i can't find it anywhere. Oh well.
All we really know for sure about Min's abilities is that she can't Channel, so it isn't Power-related. That way, anyway.

Simple answer: No, they are not the same.

**[The following notes are from David Funke, who contributed this entire article.]

When RJ signed my copies of WH and CoT, I asked him a question. Because of wording he uses when describing the Finn and their meeting with Mat, I thought that maybe Min's viewings had some relation to them. RJ describes the Finn as looking, not at Mat, but at the air around Mat's head. I thought this was similar to the way Min sees her viewings. Are they related, I asked him?

No, he said flatly.**

But just because the Snakefinns (new word) aren't related to Min, it doesn't mean there isn't a connection. Maybe The Creator has a certain idea of what seeing things about people looks like, or He just wants to make it very clear that the Snakefinn are as reliable as Min (or vice versa).
