Ok, now here is what I think about Olver being Gaidal Cain. -Cain was called by the horn in tGH. So he was not born then. -One of our girls, Elayne or Nynaeve, saw Cain in t'a'rd with Birgitte, before she got tossed out by Moggy- this would have been in either TDR or tSR- probably the latter. -If Olver is Cain he would only be about a year or two old, even if he was reborn right after the girls saw him. NOW, this is where it gets tricky. Remember when Lanfear was telling Loial about the mirror worlds and how in some of them it is time that changes, well what if..... -Baby Olver got sent in to the mirror world and came out a few years older. -An Olver from another world, where time passes faster got pulled out of his world when Rand used the stone to take everyone to Tanchico. These are the only ways that I see Olver able to be Gaidal Cain. Of course there is always finn-land, but I doubt that the Finns would let a nice child get away with his soft skin intact no matter who he was. Plus I doubt that RJ would have added the little fact about time if he didn't plan on using it at a later date. This is all purely speculation, but it makes sense to me.
