Everybody has been assuming that either he is or isn't based on the memories from Finnland. What about all those memories and old blood ravings before the Shadar Logoth dagger (i.e. both Mashadar and the dagger eat memory and kill stuff). I do not think that Mat is a Hero Reborn, and neither do I think that he isn't one...however, don't make conclusions based on false memories...
